UV-Vis Spectrophotometers

UV-Vis spectrophotometers are used to measure light absorbance properties of a chemical substance.

Different wavelengths of light are passed through a cuvette or microplate containing a solution and a detector reads the amount of light which passes through.

Spectroscopy can be used to identify pure drug compounds and quantification of organic compounds.

Stellar Scientific offers classic benchtop UV-Vis spectrophotometers as well as handheld devices to conduct readings on site and eliminate the need to transport samples to the lab.
