Photopette® Aqua Handheld UV-Vis Spectrophotometer - Water Testing Kit For 525nm, 550nm and 680nm - Includes Calibrated Bluetooth Tablet

Photopette® is a revolutionary first-of-its-kind handheld fixed wavelength spectrophotometer designed to be used in the lab or out in the field.

While traditional spectrophotometers are loaded with the sample to be read, the Photopette® device is paired with a disposable CuveTip® and then inserted into the sample for reading absorbance.

The Photopette® Aqua colorimeter is designed for testing the most common water parameters. 

Waterproof, dustproof, long-lasting battery and unlimited data logging make the Photopette® Aqua ideal for on the spot and in the field testing.

The software is intuitive and easy, requiring minimal training to use it.

It comes with five inbuild calibrations for Merck Spectroquant® water test kits and can measure a total of 22 analytes from the Spectroquant® family.

The user can choose between using the inbuild calibrations and programming own calibrations with the intuitive Photopette’s software feature ‘Method Maker’.

The Photopette® uses a CuveTips® cuvette which is immersed into the sample directly and eliminates the need for sample transfer and reduces the chance for contamination.

The disposable CuveTips® are available as non-sterile and sterile tips to eliminate any chemical and microbial cross contamination of samples.

This kit is designed for conducting many of the most common forms of water testing and includes the following:

• Photopette programmed for 525nm, 550nm and 680nm
• Photopette stand/holder 
• Box of non-sterile CuveTips and CuveTip ejector box (for disposed tips) - 88 total tips

CuveTips® can be used in certain organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol and their mixtures with water as well as plant or mineral oils. 

CuveTips® provides accurate readings when used from 10 to 40 C and CuveTips® have been shown to hold up when used at a temperature of up to 70C for a few seconds. 

The Photopette® has a built in environmental light source to correct for small changes in the ambient light conditions between the time of taking the "auto-zero" reading and the actual measurement. 

The Photopette® is not designed to be used in direct sunlight or close to other bright light sources
