For ISOLA units equipped with carbon filters, the gas-phase carbon filter should be replaced every 12 months or when the gas detector alarm goes off (whichever occurs first).
For ISOLA models equipped with a HEPA filter: The main HEPA filters should be changed every 2 years or when the HEPA filter alarm goes off.
Main carbon filters should be changed yearly or when the gas detection alarm goes off – whichever occurs first.
Safety HEPA filters should be changed every 2 years.
Safety carbon filters should be replaced yearly, or when the gas detection alarm goes off.
It is important to note that the proper PPE should be worn at all times when handling or changing filters.
The recommended PPE for filter change-out includes (but is not limited to) the below items:
• Gloves rated for chemicals handled in unit
• Goggles
• Lab apron/gown/coat
• Respirator rated for chemicals handled in unit
