Determine the total osmolality of up to 20 samples of aqueous solutions using this benchtop Osmometer.
Osmolality of a solution is the number (or amount of substance) of the osmotically active particles (eg. Salt ions, urea, proteins) present per kilogram of solvent (water).
This osmometer requires, on average 60 microliters of sample (can range from 50 uL to 100uL), to measure molar concentration, freezing point, and molar concentration ratio.
Rotary turntable design with an elevated probe enables walk-away continuous and batch measuring
Osmometers are used in a broad spectrum of laboratory applications:
1. Clinical chemistry: for testing whole blood, serum, plasma, urine and other body fluids for metabolic and electrolytic disorders and intoxication
2. Pharmaceutical industry: bioprocess monitoring at critical points during manufacturing
3. Organic and inorganic chemistry: to determine the average molecular weight of polymers or other unknown compounds or mixtures
4. Other biology applications: analysis of plant saps, hydroponic or cell culture media
This basic unit is easily controlled via an intuitive seven-inch touch screen display.
The refrigerant free cooling system requires less maintenance and extends the life of the unit.
This osmometer features onboard data storage, RS232 export capabilities, a built-in printer and is compatible with LIS and HIS integration (ask about specific details)
Additional features include: USB data exportability. External control via keyboard or mouse. External scanner capabilities.
All our osmometers come with a 2 year warranty
