Cell culture inserts with these characteristics are excellent for tumor-derived cells, Leukocytes and tumor stem-cells
- Inserts remain centered in wells, preventing membrane from touching sides and wicking between insert and side wall
- Membrane remains suspended above well bottom, allowing co-culture: grow one cell line inside insert, and another below in the well
- Ideal for drug transfer assays, transport studies, migration assays, and cell-cell interaction studies
- Transfer cultures to fresh media by moving the insert to a new plate
- 8µm pore size is ideal for tumor cell migration and invasion, co-culture and hematostaxis
- Membrane made from polyethylene (PET), plate made from polystyrene
- Packed 12 well inserts to a 12 well plate. Ten plates per case, 120 total well inserts
- Growth area is 1.12cm2 per well and pore density is 1 x 105
