Cell culture inserts with these characteristics are excellent for Endotheliocytes, Leukocytes and neurons
- Inserts remain centered in wells, preventing membrane from touching sides and wicking between insert and side wall
- Membrane remains suspended above well bottom, allowing co-culture: grow one cell line inside insert, and another below in the well
- Ideal for cell migration and invasion, cyto-chemotaxis and axonal hyperplasia
- Transfer cultures to fresh media by moving the insert to a new plate
- 3µm pore size is ideal for co-culture and drug transport studies
- Membrane made from polycarbonate, plate made from polystyrene
- Packed 12 well inserts to a 12 well plate. Four plates per case, 48 total well inserts
- Growth area is 1.12cm2 per well and pore density is 2 x 108
